Project Description
The existing large detached 1970’s house was looking extremely tired & the new owner wanted to better exploit the space & views across the Severn valley.

Initial analysis considered the functional layout of the house & how to optimise the excellent views from various standpoints.

Reconfiguring & linking the house with new extensions & new outdoor terraced areas provided a far greater connection throughout the entire property.

A new two storey timber / glass extension was constructed across the South Western elevation which faced the Severn Valley.

The proposed layout for all three levels allowed open-plan living & for each space to enjoy the panoramic views.

Large pivoting doors in sustainable timber with energy efficient glazing were a significant feature. The open feel & transparent nature of the design enabled a wonderful connection to the surrounding countryside.

The original 1970’s house was totally transformed inside & out.
